Study on Sexual and Reproductive Health in Rural Uttar Pradesh

India has laid focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) among priorities of health research. At present there are very limited research has been done, and most of them have been done at the national levels. In this backdrop this study was done in 2019 in rural Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with 11 grassroots NGOs.

This study gave deep insights into marriage and pregnancy, knowledge and information on SRHR issues, stigma associated with abortion, sources of information, decision on contraception and abortion, availability of SRH services, role and understanding of men on SRH issues of women, and use of SRH services.
