There are over 2 crore stray animals in India and caring for an injured or sick animal is a resource intensive and time taking job. Every rupee donated by you will help in providing proper care to them.
Context
Animals are sentient beings who have every right to live on earth as humans do. They are creatures of blood and bone with feelings, and human beings have used them to their advantage for various needs. As per livestock census conducted in 2019 there are over 2 crore stray cattle and stray dogs that roam the streets of India without food, veterinary care, or protection from the elements.
We at UPVHA plan to open an animal shelter that will provide food, veterinary care, and a roof over their heads in Lucknow and run an animal rescue van for injured and sick animals. Caring for an injured or sick animal is a resource intensive and time-consuming job. It requires a large sum of money that is hard to generate for a single entity. Every contribution made by you will help us realise our goals. The donations made by you are exempt from income tax under Section 80G.
What we will do
- Run an animal shelter for about hundred stray animals
- Run an animal rescue van for injured and sick animals
- Form a team of volunteers to provide on call care and assistance for animals in need
- Run an animal helpline number
